Health & safety guidelines

Before your appointment

  • To set the tone for relaxation please arrive 5-10mins early and turn your phone off.

  • We will go over what you’re looking for prior to each appointment.

  • Please notify me of any updates in your medical history or recent injuries/surgeries.

  • Minimum 6 week wait time post-surgery before your next massage.

  • Let me know if you’re pregnant! Unfortunately I am not trained in pre-natal massage, but I can refer you to other professionals who are.

  • Hit the restroom! You will not be able to fully relax if you need to go.

During your appointment

  • Feel free to tell me about pressure! I do my best to check-in but this only helps me customize what you want out of your massage! Each time may be different.

  • Please let me know about any adjustments to room or table temperatures and/or bolster placement/headrest angle. These little things matter and I will do my best to accommodate.

  • Chat only if you want to! This is your moment of peace and quiet so I will honor that.

  • Take deep breaths to remind the body it’s time to slow down.

  • Fall asleep - it happens a lot!

Post appointment

  • Take your time off the table, it’s common to feel slightly dazed.

  • Drink plenty of water! Your body is processing all the reasons for this new increased circulation. Water helps to keep you from feeling sore afterwards.

  • Rebook! My recommendation is a monthly massage to start and once we have a feel for how your body is receiving them we can adjust time-frames from there.

  • Keep moving after your massage! No workouts, just light regular activity.

  • I hope you enjoyed your mini-vacation on the massage table!
