We are a husband and wife team of certified massage therapists who each offer over ten years of experience in the use of awareness, breath, touch and movement to create whole-body well-being.
JUNE NEWMAN, CMT, NCTMB
Since childhood I have loved to shape and create beautiful things with my hands.
After leaving a career in computer programming in 1993, I earned an advanced degree in counseling, trained in various forms of hands-on energy healing, studied intensively with body-centered transformation pioneers Drs. Gay & Kathlyn Hendricks, and also worked as an artist specializing in mosaics, painting and sculpture.
My fascination with the beauty and healing power of the human body led me to TIBIA Massage School (Transformational Intuitive Bodywork In Action) in Madison where I completed my bodywork training in 2004. I became a Wisconsin state and nationally certified massage therapist, and now serve as the Director Of Continuing Education and as an instructor at TIBIA.
As a massage therapist, I enjoy appreciating the subtle nuances of each muscle through my touch, shaping and sculpting tissue, and using gentle movement to allow deep relaxation, energy flow and well-being in each client.
GREGORY NEWMAN, CMT, NCTMB
Following years of work in the Chicago advertising scene, I had a transformational experience on a visionquest in Canada that altered the trajectory of my life. I went back to school, began working as a psychotherapist and explored everything I could find that had to do with somatic psychology and spiritual transformation.
After years of intensive study with body-centered transformation pioneers Drs. Gay & Kathlyn Hendricks, and professional practice as a life and relationship coach (www.bodycenteredcoach.com), I completed my massage training at TIBIA Massage School (Transformational Intuitive Bodywork In Action) in Madison in 2005. I became a Wisconsin state and nationally certified massage therapist and now serve on the faculty of TIBIA as an instructor.
My extensive background in body-centered transformation enhances my skill as a massage therapist, allowing clients to release deeply-held stress and tension, and to experience lasting, whole-body therapeutic change.
